Halo Sleep Wearable Blankets Review
Blankets are not recommended for babies due to the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Luckily, there is a safe alternative that keeps babies warm during the cold winter months. The HALO Sleep Sack is one of the best selling sleep sacks in the United States. As more research supported the idea that blankets may contribute to SIDS, and studies showed that babies who wear sleep sacks have a lower risk of SIDS. A HALO Sleep Sack is essentially a wearable blanket made with cotton or fleece.
Pediatricians advise parents to avoid putting blankets in their babies cribs. Although once a child is older the SIDS risk lowers, many parents rather take the safe route and continue to use sleep sacks rather than blankets well into toddlerhood. Another advantage of using a sleep sack is that babies and toddlers move around so much in their sleep that a blanket could easily slip off of them, leaving them cold the rest of the night. With the use of a sleep sack, parents can rest easy knowing that their baby is warm and safe all night.
If you go to the store in search of sleep sacks for your baby, you may notice the vast array of options you may encounter. What distinguishes HALO Sleep Sacks from other sleep sack brands is that HALO Sleep Sacks are made of the best quality materials there are. The zippers are not cheaply made like some other brands, but rather sturdy, secure, and easy to use. Another great quality of HALO Sleep Sacks is that they are sleeveless, allowing parents to decide which pajamas are appropriate to wear under depending on the temperature so that your little one is comfortable enough for a full night’s rest. In regards to safety, the sleeveless aspect of HALO sleep sacks also ensures that your baby will not re-breathe air from fabric on his or her arm which could be a SIDS risk.
HALO Sleep Sacks are more expensive than traditional baby blankets. Some parents don’t like the reverse zipper on the HALO Sleep Sacks, which zips from top to bottom, but I have found that it is easy to get accustomed to. The manufacturer also maintains that the reverse zipper is safer and also more difficult for the baby to unzip. Although I wasn’t sure sleep sacks were worth the money, I have been convinced that HALO Sleep Sacks are a must have item for parents of infants. Who wouldn’t want an item that makes nighttime routines much shorter and efficient? Not only do they keep babies safe and secure at night, but also provide the warmth babies need during those cold winter months. I would recommend the HALO Sleep Sack for it’s safety qualities, relative ease of use, and durability.

Chark Farm Cornwall Easter Holidays
We had an excellent time at Chark Farm with more horse riding and milking of the calfs, and the children loved it, the weather was superb, but disaster struck on Thursday morning the day of the Volcanic Ash!! Ian returned from the shops with the news that Heathrow Airport was closing at 1200. I was then doing some work on his laptop when the telephone rung I turned to answer the phone not realising that my feet had the charger cable which was plugged into his laptop wrapped around my legs. Hence the laptop crashes down and breaks. We ultimately had to pack up our things to return home early so that we could get the computer fixed.
The following morning the 16th April I woke to start my 40th birthday with a telephone call from my brother to say that he could not come and see me due to all flights from Dublin and the UK cancelled. I then had a cross husband trying to contact people all day to sort out our laptop. I took Charlote to the cinema to get out of the way to watch Nanny McPhee, but surprisingly enough really enjoyed myself.
The morning of the 17th I was woken at 3.00am that morning by my Uncle as he felt unwell and needed an Ambulance which was a very frightening experience. Sunday dinner time and our meat which Mum bought on Saturday from local butcher was off so had Sunday lunch at the Harvester before hospital visit. My Uncle and Auntie were supposed to fly back to Spain on this Sunday this however was obviously cancelled, firstly due to the ash and secondly as he was unwell.
Friday 30th April my brother finally arrived from Dublin with his wife Corina so we were able to start my birthday celebrations, with a fabulous shopping trip to Kingston just Corina and myself (no children) where I bought a Pandorra bracelet.
My Uncle is now out of hospital and is due to return to Spain next Sunday the 9th May.

Chark Farm - Redmoor - Cornwall
Arrived yesterday for a weeks stay at our favourite farm in Cornwall.
Charlotte and Sebastian could not wait to go out to play with their favourite animals.
Today they were woken at 0900 to feed the goats, chickens and horses before getting ready for a trip to Polkerris Beach. Sebastian was a bit nervous of the sea due to getting wet on previous visits but Charlotte was in her element and enjoyed climbing the rocks and playing in the sea. On our return Sebastian rode Billy the pony and thoroughly enjoyed himself smiles across his face for the whole ride. Charlotte then rode Lady Jane and was again in her element, what a change she would never go near horses. We then went to the Crown Inn for dinner before returning home to put the animals to bed.
This is an excellent holiday and we are all enjoying ourselves so much, I think that this is because of Jenny the owner she makes everybodies stay very relaxing and enjoyable.
Tomorrow we hope to go out for a walk on the coastal path before returning home for a roast dinner and a glass of wine in the garden. http://www.charkcountryholidays.co.uk/

After a lot of time and effort and placing the order for the Puj Bath they have decided in America as it is selling well there they will not be supplying the UK for the present time, missed opportunity I feel, so we will look at the Tummy Tub again.

Harrogate Nursery Fair
Just returned from our trip to Harrogate Nursery Fair.
Unfortunately the journey up was not that good but prehaps that was a godsend as it meant that I did not have enough time to go shopping!!
We stayed at the Crown Hotel and although our evening meal was not that exciting the room was large and comfortable, with nice sized single beds for the children not put you ups.
We found the fair disappointing in respect that although it was bigger than previous years the halls were up and down stairs or lifts. Maybe because there were more halls, so people were spread over more space, but the fair seemed quieter than previous years.
We have found two more possible suppliers, but are finding it increasingly difficult to find the different products to other traders, as a lot of things seem the same.
Check out Best For Baby website for new products arriving soon.
